It’s OK To Be Vulnerable

Vulnerability makes people feel weak. We learn to put up defences.

But Jesus says, when you are weak then I am strong in you. So, do we have to put up defences?

Not when I know Jesus is with me in that wash of emotions of rejection or fear or anger or whatever it is. He’s with me, guiding my way. He's directing my thoughts when I put my thoughts into His Word, healing my heart when I put my heart into His hands. He’s holding me, completely surrounding me so that I don’t feel my vulnerability. I don’t feel weak. Instead, I feel His strength. It’s an internal thing.

Isaiah 43:1 (NET)

Now, this is what the Lord says, the one who created you, O Jacob, and formed you, O Israel [You can insert your name here/ Tracy-Ann]: “Don’t be afraid, for I will protect you. I call you by name, you are mine.

I belong to Him and He says He never lets go of me.

Deuteronomy 31:8 (NLT)

Do not be afraid or discouraged, for the Lord will personally go ahead of you. He will be with you; he will neither fail you nor abandon you.”

He touches the unclean things, the messy things in my life, and makes me clean, unashamed even in my weakness, full and whole even in my brokenness.

Luke 8:47-48 (NLT)

When the woman realized that she could not stay hidden, she began to tremble and fell to her knees in front of him. The whole crowd heard her explain why she had touched him and that she had been immediately healed. “Daughter,” he said to her, “your faith has made you well. Go in peace.”

Faith in Jesus is a mystery that I can’t experience except through Him. Jesus calls me by name – daughter – and I no longer have to be ashamed of my weakness. I am strong, mightily strong, in Him. Jesus calls me to walk in authority. He offers me that authority and I receive it.

Luke 10:19 (NLV)

I have given you power over all the power of the one who works against you. Nothing will hurt you.

He can bind up every wound that has ever been.

Psalm 147:3, 7 (NLV)

He heals those who have a broken heart. He heals their sorrows... Sing to the Lord with thanks. Sing praises to our God

It’s OK to feel vulnerable because I know He calls me out of it and makes me strong and calls me by another name. Daughter of The Most High.

Place your strength in Him today. We can walk in His power.
