My Purpose

God has given me purpose on this earth.

1)     Raise my child in the knowledge and love of God and ensure his stability and justification in Jesus Christ

2)     Love and serve people

3)     Use the gifts and talents God created in me, with joy, that His glory would be realised through me and be as far reaching as He permits

4)     Live as fully aware and with as much value as possible

This is my purpose.

Colossians 4:17

(NLT) Tell Archippus to be sure to finish the work the Lord called him to do.

(AMP) And say to Archippus, “See to it that you fulfill [carefully the duties of] the ministry which you have received in the Lord.”

(CSB) And tell Archippus, “Pay attention to the ministry you have received in the Lord, so that you can accomplish it.”

(GWT) Tell Archippus to complete all the work that he started as the Lord’s servant.

What has God put in my hand to do? Where has God placed me? Who am I surrounded by? This is my ministry.

Knowing It:

When I feel His anointing on what I am doing, when He places favour on whatever it is, when I carry a conviction to do something and continue doing it until God tells me to stop, when I know I’m touching the lives of people around me for good, I am in the right place.

To live with all of my heart, with enthusiasm and conviction, brings enrichment to my life, value to those around me, and glory to God.

Doing It:

Am I paying attention to what I have received to do? Am I loving and honouring the people God has put in my life? Do I minister appropriately to each person God has given me to minister to? Am I making a difference in their lives? Am I doing things with excellence?

Remembering It:

Am I keeping away from quarrels and strife? Do I carry God’s heart? Do I receive and give grace? Am I living fully aware of God’s presence in my life and does this instruct me? Am I following God? Am I serving Him first? Am I living freely under Him?

Colossians 3:23-24 (NCV)

In all the work you are doing, work the best you can. Work as if you were doing it for the Lord, not for people. Remember that you will receive your reward from the Lord, which he promised to his people. You are serving the Lord Christ.

Psalm 62:5-8 (NIV)

Yes, my soul, find rest in God; my hope comes from him. Truly he is my rock and my salvation; he is my fortress, I will not be shaken. My salvation and my honour depend on God; he is my mighty rock, my refuge. Trust in him at all times, you people; pour out your hearts to him, for God is our refuge.

Psalm 62:11-12 (NCV)

God has said this, and I have heard it over and over: God is strong. The Lord is loving. You reward people for what they have done.

What about you? What is your purpose? What is your ministry? Know it, Do it, Remember it.
