Let God’s Truth Direct You

Proverbs 4:23 (NLT)

Guard your heart above all else, for it determines the course of your life.

Surely you know that all the food that enters the mouth goes into the stomach and then goes out of the body. But what people say with their mouths comes from the way they think; these are the things that make people unclean.

My son, do not let wisdom and understanding out of your sight, preserve sound judgment and discretion; they will be life for you, an ornament to grace your neck. Then you will go on your way in safety, and your foot will not stumble. When you lie down, you will not be afraid; when you lie down, your sleep will be sweet. Have no fear of sudden disaster or of the ruin that overtakes the wicked, for the Lord will be at your side and will keep your foot from being snared.

How well God looks after us. When we follow His instructions, we are kept in His hand. When we seek after Him we find a life that is rich in mercy, compassion, wisdom and understanding, support, stability and peace.
